I have been fortunate enough to work with Karen Batchelor as my coach for over a year. Karen had the innate ability to connect with me from the very start and to ask me just the right questions at exactly the right time. When I first started working with Karen I was living a life that wasn’t me. I knew it, but I felt very stuck in it due to my sense of responsibility as a husband, father and son. While it wasn’t me, I honestly thought it was the life I was meant to live. Karen helped me to realize that my passions were actually perfectly aligned with my strengths and that the reason I wasn’t happy was that my life wasn’t truly aligned with either of them. But, she never pushed the issue.

Karen did, however, keep me focused on moving forward. I can still remember the “ah-ha” moments she helped me find that led to having my life become a perfect fit. For the first time, my passions are aligned with my strengths, which are aligned with my work. I owe a lot of that to Karen and I am proud to say that not only is she MY coach but also she is now a colleague I can turn to as I embark upon my career as a business and personal coach.

And, if I ever doubted that this is where I am supposed to be, I only need to think back to what my 13 yr old daughter said recently, “Daddy, I always knew work was stressful for you but I just thought that was how it was. I didn’t realize how bad it was. And I’m so glad to have my Daddy back now.” Thank you, Karen for helping me be happier, less stressed and reconnected with the people I love in a much better way.
